How Sterling Spent His 4th of July

In his favorite comfy chair.

Not as relaxed was Sally, who kept the evil eye on me while pretending to be asleep.

Then it was time for an outdoor adventure. Last week we had little yellow flowers in the field behind us.  This week there is a new batch of wildflowers and they are white!

Something has Sterling’s hair bristling …

Probably some admonitions from Lewis.  Doesn’t he just look like a thug?

Wait a minute.  There are strange and unknown people walking in the neighborhood.  Must stalk them!

Sally is uninterested and rolls in the dirt and grass and hides from the boys.

But they soon spot her and trust me, they are greatly in tune with her hiding spot in the gulley.

Meanwhile, back in the flowerbed …. I spotted this and my fave photo of the day so far.  I’m calling it “Johnny Bee Good”.
