Bye to Patrick

Breaking news that Patrick Swayze has succombed to pancreatic cancer. I'm really sad about this one. Always a dreamboat. Rest in peace. And nobody puts Baby in a corner!

Here is one of the greatest skits ever on SNL, The chippendale dance off.

And who can forget when he pumped it up with Hans and Franz?

Red Dawn is still my favorite Swazye movie. WOLVERINES!!

MRM: The Chippendale dance-off is a classic of all classic moments in TV history. I'd say my fave movie though is Ghost. But he turns up in all sorts over the years. What about The Outsiders? Love LOVE that movie.

He stayed married to the same woman for his whole career, apparently.

Best Swayze movie ever. The one I will always remember him for - not Ghost, not Dirty Dancing, not even Red Dawn (which was pretty good), but the hands-down best movie he ever did was, is - Road House. With lines like "I want you to be nice until it's time to not be nice" and "Pain don't hurt" - classic.

To all the gals: *sigh* is right. One hunk less in the world today.

Troll: That long marriage is practically an anomaly in Hollywood, I should think!

Kymmie: He wasn't the star of that movie though, just an early role, but certainly set the tone for him. Stupid soc's.

Buzzy: That movie is a classic at our house as well. I bet it is on by this weekend in back-to-back Roadhouse marathon. Also worth watching in that movie: Sam Elliott!!!

I loved that he had been married to the same woman since 1975. What.A.Man.

peace out.

Yes I know I just could not get through Ghost right at this time, so very sad, a real gentleman to the end.
