I almost went the catch 22 route and catchers never even occurred to me and I'm a big baseball fan. Yogi Berra was probably the greatest catcher/character to ever play the game.

Happy MM!

Buzzy, I'm surprised it didn't occur to you and I totally expected to find it over on your page because well, somehow we think similar most times. However, you did beat me to "Catch a wave and you're sitting on top of the world" over on Fishy's page. Argh! Porter played little league for my dad back in the day, so in our family, he's the greatest MLB catcher. Then Johnny Bench, another Okie... then Yogi maybe.

Very nice mix of pictures. Liked this a lot. Johnny Bench was the best I've ever seen at Catcher.

Happy Mute Monday!

If I had actually gone with the theme, Cathcer in the Rye would have been at the top of my list. Nice collection of photos as usual. I've been catching up on your previous posts and think the cats could have been a good Mute too.

Happy MM and Happy New Year.

Project Runway begins in 11 days! Are you willing to be our Host?? Pu-lease?

Happy New Year and 1:st MM 2010

I always found it strange that a book about such a truncated time period of existence – the angsty teenage years – has remained so enduring. I'd also like to be that deft at catching my dinner. Great photos! Happy Mute Monday!

Hay Pam,
Nice take on the meme. I did give some thought to Catch 22, Catcher in the Rye and To Catch a Thief but passed on those for unknown reasons.
Your post has an interesting diversity, flexible mind there I see. Have a great first 2010 Monday.

BOXIE (AND OTHERS): Host Project Runway again? Like you had to ask????? Of course!!!! I've got it down to a science now! Plus American Idol is gearing up, so my self-acclaimed role as TV critic is gonna be in full swing!!!!
