Movie Clip Wednesday

I’ll participate in Boxer’s Movie Clip Wednesday!   Here’s a scene we watched this weekend from Scent of a Woman.  Love LOVE that movie.  I almost posted the speech scene (If I was half the man I was five years ago, I’d take a FLAMETHROWER to this place!) … but it was too long to fit the less than three minute theme.

So here’s the tango scene.  Love this.  Interestingly, and we’ve been arguing over this at my house, the girl here is the same as the one who plays the girlfriend Fiona in Burn Notice.  I think it is not the same girl.  But have been proved wrong.  What a change in characters.

Whoo-ah. I like this movie and the discipline board scene is the best. Gabrielle Anwar was the dancer (Donna) and Fiona in Burn Notice (i've never seen it). There's about a 15 year difference between the two (I looked it up on IMDB.com).

Buzz Kill beat me to my favorite website; IMDB.

I love the sultry sound of a tango and this is a great scene. They start out so stilted and by the they are a great team. (I also love her dress.)

GREAT clip and thanks for participating. I'd love to make this a weekly thing. I got a MILLION to post. :-)

Good afternoon Pam,

Great flick! I liked your choice of clips. I love to Tango when the opportunity arises.

@ Boxer: This would be a good weekly thing to do. The comments at your place seem to be turned off.

Buzzy: You might like Burn Notice. My husband likes it -- action, hot girls ...

Boxie: Yes please! Weekly thing.

Karl: I had that problem on Boxie's page also, but click on the header for the post, then when that post only comes up, you will see the add comments section. BUT>>> you tango? Please tell more! It is on my list of things to learn. I think that is why I love this clip, I could be that girl.

I LOVE this particular scene, but I've always been on fence about the movie over all. Sometimes Pacino's performances are a tad over the top for my taste, to the point where he's playing a caricature, rather than a character. De Niro suffers from the same problem. And it's funny to see how dorky Chris O'Donnell looks in this. He did grow up into a pretty great looking man, though.

Moi, have you been watching Chris O'Donnell in the new NCIS series? I didn't even realize it was him. Yes, on the handsome man. HANDSOME Man. Indeed.

I haven't seen CSI, but I've seen the commercials. He's aging splendidly :o).

Good afternoon Pam,

Sorry for the slow reply. Yes I do Tango, kind of. My wife and I love to dance. We haven't had any formal training, we just picked up different steps over the years. New Year's Eve we were on the dance floor for about 3-hours.

If you want to learn, all I can say is, what are you waiting for? It's Loads of fun and great exercise.
