I have a suspicion that "The Who" were really awful. Didn't actually see any of these. Great take though.

Happy Mute Monday!

ah yes...the "half time show"!
GOOD ONE!
HA!
I had a really hard time getting into the game, but, as I slowly became more attuned to liking it, the half times seemed to get way more elaborate.
Maybe someday the game will be played in the middle of the pregame show and the halftime show?
Happy Mute Monday!

That's not he Janet Jackson pic we wanted to see. Wonder who'll they'll get next year - Chuck Berry, he's only 83. I saw some of the Who halftime show and Roger Daltry was looking pretty large.

Happy MM!

Pam,
Well yesterdays Super Bowl was the best of the three offerings between football, commercials and half time entertainers. I found your post made me ponder these questions:

1) What is the median age of Super Bowl attendees?

2) What is the median age of Super Bowl electronic viewers?

3) Is Super Bowl half time entertainment selected for satisfying question 1 or 2?

Somehow they never get it right, it's a miss every year.

This year, the commercials were uber disappointing. Makes me wonder who in hell authorized spending all that money for those bad ads. Were they pitched to the assumption of all viewers would be beyond legal intoxication limits and therefore the more stupid the better? And did you see that $2.5 mil census ad? Didn't even make it's point.
Super post Pam. Sorry about the snarking, I should save that for Thursdays.

Bwahahahahaha to K9's comment on Mick Jagger. S.B. calls him Skeletor. Ja, you gotta wonder . . . WHY the old dude rockers? Why not someone more contemporary? Lady Gaga for instance; I think that would have been a mighty fine idea :o)

Troll: I didn't think they were awful, but it seemed like the were enjoying it, so that was fine with me.

Boxer: They are ALL old rockers. I don't mind so much as they are older than me and still kicking. But see response below to Moi.

Boney: At least the halftime wasn't the reason for the game. Some years that is questionable.

Auntie: WE thought it was a great game and that interception was a thing of beauty. However, we didn't watch the commercials because we switched over to the puppy bowl.

Buzzy: You wanted to see the real nippage?

Joanna; Will update you to my blogroll also; but since I click around at work sometimes, I am a little hesitant to call up your page thinking the content might be a bit too risque for my employer's system ... then I forget to come by when I'm home. I promise to be better!

K9: Tilapia syndrome. Grrrhahah. That is a total new one on me but I totally get it! Batwings with tilapia. Love it.

Fishy: I think most of the attendees probably had no idea who the Who were. I heard on the radio that some young girl asked about Roger Daltrey ... "wasn't he on American idol" ... she was thinking DAUGHTERY.

Moi: I agree totally re Lady Gaga. Young, hip, current. Or Black Eyed Peas. Or just Fergie. Or Gwen Stefani. Acts seem selected for non-controversy after Janet ruined it for everyone.

We turned over to see The Who (Hubster is a fan) and we were so disappointed. In fact he wanted to rewind the first song to prove how bad they were!

Now I think that is the best ever piccie I have seen of the Janet & Justin fiasco. The looks on their faces are PRICELESS, thanks for a good laugh!
