Movie Clip Wednesday – Favorite Actress from the 1970’s

My favorite actress from the 1970’s?  A true original.  Hysterically funny.  Madeline Kahn in two of the best movies by Mel Brooks ever.  EVAH!  Watch the make-up!

Oh sweet mystery of life, at last I’ve found you!

The hair!

Plus a link to the Blazing Saddles scene – face it, I’m tired!

Love it. Two of my all time favorite movies. Love YF. Especially at the train station when Wilder is trying to kiss her. "Tafada darling". "Tafada sweetheart". "No. The dress is tafada, it wrinkles so easily". Then they rub elbows. Classic. And yes, I've seen it more than once.

MRM: More than once means many many times over the years, eh? YF makes me laugh every single time. My fave scene: Monster and Gene Wilder dancing in tophats. And i love that the monster is Raymond's dad in Everybody Loves Raymond.

Chickie: I know -- I couldn't decide which scene so had to post them all. Floating? Just about. Luckily we are on high ground here but it has been awful this year. Meanwhile, do I have a post for you soon!

Joanna: You must rent Young Frankenstein and watch immediately.

Igor, help me with the bags. Love that line. I actually considered Teri Garr for this theme but thought she was a little light weight. Of the two movies, I think she was best in Blazing Saddles. Oh, it's twue. It's twue.

Happy MCW!

Great pick! I love Madeline Kahn. She was fearless in the way all great comedic geniuses are fearless. Happy MCW a day late!
