The Last Kahuna

DSC_3243

Saturday night was the 14th annual Big Kahuna classic car show over in Mustang, and it was the best Kahuna ever.  Unfortunately, it was also the last Kahuna.  Guess the sponsors are moving on to other projec ts.

SOMEONE loaded up the MGB and we headed over to the car show.  I think this might be the British version of the Beverly Hillbillies.

One of his co-workers has this car above.  Now if this car isn’t screaming for a trip to Wally World, I don’t know what is!

A little too purple for my taste.  But that paint job is cool.

The husband’s fave of the day above.

My fave of the day above.   Except for the smiley face.  My brother had a GTO that you could hear coming from about a half mile away.  VROOOM!

Dave R and his dad and his …. I can’t remember what his car is.

Dave O and his classic, which is the same model his parents had when he was young.

The “War Wagon” was sprayed with bedliner paint and also boasted spikes.

I wouldn’t say no to one of these in the garage.  Z28?  Ahem.

Elvis made an appearance.

The band was fantastic!!!   They played everything from Santana to Pink Floyd to Billy Idol to Rolling Stones.  And yes, with a Rebel Yell, we were the only ones to get up and dance.  Except for a few little kids.

A good time was had by all.
