I have Project Runway allstars set to tape over the weekend. Totally forgot! Snark Station will be up and running soon.
Meanwhile, here's some random other thoughts.
1. Teen Mom shoots and kills an intruder in small town just 30 miles south of OKC. Makes national headlines. You go, girl. And give credit to my previous boss for the Make My Day law. I talked to him today by phone and forgot to ask him how he felt about this case. So reminder to self and all that. Now the questions are, is she running a puppy mill or not, and why did she marry a man over 40 years older than herself.
2. The President of Argentina. She has what I had. Or had what I had now that she has been surgeried upon. Everyone thinks this is a surgery to remove cancer, then you take a pill and you are supposed to feel like yourself right away. Such a wrong supposition, I assure you. I'm going on five years now ... is that right, five? Never been the same since. Still a life changing event. So even if the President of Argentina is your kind of gal or not, wish her luck on the get well front. I wouldn't wish some of the misery on my worst enemy. One lady we call the Evil-Doer, yes. I would wish it on her. But no one else.
3. We saw my best old good friend KJ tonight. She is the one who lost her husband a few years ago to diabetes, in the same year as she lost her mom ... has had a tough old emotional time for a while, so it was very good to see her out and about and cutting loose a little bit. I think it won't be long before she gets some game going, she was always one to have a string of men on the line. Another you go, girl.
4. New computers at work! Instead of Word 1998, we are now in the new century (12 years late of course) ... oh my, am in love with the new software.
5. And speaking of the new century, does anyone remember from the 60's a show narrated by Walter Cronkite called "21st Century" or something like that ??? It was all about the expected technological advances of the century we are now in. I would love to see what was predicted back in those days that has or has not come true. I need to write CBS and have them find those episodes. Surely they exist in a vault somewhere. And surely they would listen to me about doing a special, don't you think?
6. General malaise. Anyone just feeling icky for no reason? Seems to be lots of folks just not in the mood to feel good right now. Need some spark. Wish I could find it. Maybe I could then get others to spark up also.
Rambling over. Time for bed. P.S. I got to dance tonight to "Do You Want to Know a Secret" by the Beatles during a bad karaoke performance. It was fun.

First,
on the cutest boy ever post .... you could be right! That is one bright eyed, round cheeked, precious boy child. Enjoy! They do grow/change so rapidly at this stage.
(please tell Kymmie she is missed)
Next,
all stars? Well I did watch the first ten minutes before I fell asleep. So nice of you to be willing to host our snark station again. I would have bailed by now since I cannot stay awake.
I have a theory about post holiday lethargy.
It is this. We are all in the recovery stages of having been overdosed. Too much of everything! Too much to do, too many long days with insufficient sleep , too much rich food, too much fermented beverages, too much group activity in otherwise highly individualized lives. And so on. Did you notice I did not mention chocolate as something you can have too much of?
ps) I like your new look.
dotted swiss!
I like rambling posts. it matches my attention span. grherhaha. okay - yeah why was she married her elderly cousin? I mean, its not hard to figure out why she isnt aware of her constitutional right to fire away at home invaders.
i watched allstars and was not surprised to see the spit mark art girl be the first to go - but I secretly wanted austin scarlett to leave. wow Rami is a very good designer and so is mondo. loved both their dresses.
Im not surprised that after 5 years you still dont feel right. I listened recently to an incredible show about what surgery does to your body and how long inflammation lasts. inflammation is the root of all problems - anywhoo - I dont know anything about the Argentine prez but i wish her well.
hell yeah on the new computers and i do have malaise but i think I am working out of it. I just finished the last of my projects and finally have some free time.
I too, love your ramblin' posts. Didn't know about PR until Moi sent an "alert" just hours/minutes before it started. I didn't watch the first few seasons so I don't know this Austin Scarlet, but is this his real name? Because I want it to be MY name. Rami! *sigh* I'm glad to see him back and really liked his dress. Glad he won although there were others that were equally good. I'm not sure about the host/judges. Time will tell.
Your health. :-( Bless you Pam for your courage and amazing strength. You rarely discuss it and yet it clearly changed the course of your life. I'm sorry.
Caleb - you know how I feel; GET THAT BOY AN AGENT!
Regarding Janaury Blues: oy! Fishy made some really good points and I know for us in the PNW; it's a dark wall of rain every year that is hard to ignore when the lights of the Holidays have dimmed. I have to say, Henry's arrival has helped a great deal this year; a most sweet distraction.
Walter Cronkite: check this link:

Youtube has a few small pieces. They were produced once a year for about four years. Thanks for making us aware of them!
Fishy: Too much chocolate? Man, I hope you are wrong about that. But obviously it is Sunday night and I still haven't watched Allstars yet. Might have to start the snark station with the next episode.
Chickie: I've been reading about inflamation as well as a few other things. Definitely worth checking into a bit more, methinks. I know there is an anti-inflammatory way of eating out that might be worth reading up on.
Oh and get this, Argentinian President doesn't have cancer now. Surgery revealed she never had cancer in her thyroid. So did she go through the surgery for no good reason? I am undecided. I had my surgery after discussing with the surgeon that "If something is growing where it ought not to be, have it out so that it doesn't turn into something later." So maybe she saved herself some cancer.
Boxie: Ooooh, thanks for that little tip on Walter. I still don't see anything online about those episodes being available. Re Austin Scarlet ... he is probably one that got me hooked on PR from the get-go. So over-the-top. He was on a show with Santino for a while also, where they toured the rural south doing dresses for regular people.
Bummer! I sent you the same email I sent Boxer and Chick-Chick. Not sure why it didn't get through? Maybe the wind was blowing wrong. At any rate, can't wait for your snark. I will say right now I hate the host, don't really like the judges, like the gal from Marie Claire as mentor (she's smart and sassy), thought the designers really did a great job with the challenge, and hope they continue to do so. I think the most talented are Rami, Mondo (even though he's just a little freak), Austin, and Mila, whose striped dress at the beginning of the show I've been frantically trying to buy. I love her aesthetic, even if post punk is probably something I should just go ahead and give up. And tell me if you don't think Sweet P had some work done. She looks much more "refreshed."
I loved what teen mom asked 911 in her call: "I've got a gun in each of my hands; is it okay if I go ahead and shoot him?" Bwahahahahaha!
As for general malaise, I put it down to post holiday, dead of winter-itis. January and February are the calendar equivalents of ghost towns . . .
